A promising weather surrounded us and the great landscape as we had to ford the first obstacle on our way into Þórisdalur.

Þórisdalur...

We walked through a lush paradise for a short time...

...until the surrounding changes again while we scrambled up to the col of Vesturhryggur. Prestahnúkur behind.

What a view from the col to the secluded Þórisdalur with the Hryggjavatn and Langjökull in the distance. Clouds arrived fast while we admired the scenery.

Declining weather awaited us on the way to Skersli.

More snow as we approached the cloudy top.

For just a few seconds we could see the Skersli crater lake named Fjallsauga.

...then it got white again...

We found not much information about the secluded Þórisdalur. So we were very curious what awaited us there...
