(Nornahraun / Flæðahraun)

The old Holuhraun must have erupted around the end of the 17th century. The new lava field is officially named after the old one that is partly covered by the fresh lava from the 2014/2015 fissure eruption period.  But even on the new ISOR geological map is a called "Flæðahraun" after the glacial otwash plain to the north of the Dyngjusandur. Confusing...
